Vieux Québec - Old Quebec CityPosted by Pierre Maheu (Montreal, Canada) on 18 March 2007 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. I took this shot on a strong foggy night in the Old Quebec City. What you see is the Frontenac Castle.

badala from Leiria, PortugalFabulous shot. The composition, light and color all work together. Fantastic shot. I think what makes it for me are the different colored lights on the higher-up tower. Great angle and exposure. Only criticism I'd have is to try to pull back the vignetting a bit on the corners since it's so strong. Great overall. Saludos. 20 Mar 2007 6:31am @Justin Haaheim: Hi Justin, thank you so much for your comment... Just a note here; it looks like vignetting on 3 corners (and not on the lower left corner), but as strange as it looks it is not! The fog was so dense that the only part of the sky that you see comes from the lights on the castle... It's one a these moments where you have to be at the right place at the right moment! Thanks again... |
