Frozen River - Rivière glacéePosted by Pierre Maheu (Montreal, Canada) on 18 February 2007 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. I took this picture Friday from the North shore of the Montreal island, the wind was blowing like crazy... I like the ice cube protruding from the snow. J'ai pris cette photo vendredi à partir du côté nord de l'ile de Montréal, le vent était très fort... J'aime bien le cube de glace qui sort de la neige.

Yvon from Meerkerk, NetherlandsBecause of the perspective, it is difficult to see how big the subject is. Combined with the light and colour, that makes the photo mysterious. Great photo! 18 Feb 2007 9:19am Sharon from kingston, CanadaI really like this shot - the perspective is interesting and the detail excellent. How do you find the Nikon? I am currently using a Canon, but am trying to decide between a Nikon and the Canon Rebel... thoughts on ease of use 18 Feb 2007 1:41pm @Sharon: Hi Sharon, thank for your comment. I suggest you to read the reviews of the Nikon D80 and Canon XTi on this site http://www.dpreview.com/ It is the most accurate review I saw. The results: picture quality are similar with an edge to the D80, ease of use goes to the XTi, construction quality goes to the D80 by far (huge difference in build quality), price is very attractive for the XTi. So in a few words, if you have the extra budget and you want more control and precision which is inherited from the highly rated D200 graphic processor, your choice is the D80. If you're looking for a very good camera, very good price and ease of use then the XTi is perfect... I hope it will help you...! |
